Overview

At The Dais, I lead the visual direction for a suite of research publications. I have designed many of them, and I treat each report as a complete editorial system: a bespoke cover illustration, a multi-page layout, and typographic and grid rules that make long-form research easier to read.

Risky Business cover. The same frame holds every report.

On the cover

  1. The cover frameA white title band with the title, subtitle and date sits above a full-bleed illustration. It never changes, so every report reads as a Dais report at a glance.
  2. The illustration layerEach report gets its own illustration and palette, a new face for each subject inside one consistent style.
  3. Date and labelsA small pink accent line carries the date and labels, a constant across every cover.
